It was a great night for homos at the Indie Soap Awards (our fellow lesbonic series Anyone But Me won in four categories and Venice won in two)!
But of course OUR big news is that our very own Simone star Renée Olbert won Breakthrough Performance! (She tied with Preston Davis of Buppies.) Here are their kicky acceptance speeches - so you can relive the magic:
Of course, we loved the Indie Soap Awards BEFORE Renée won - we felt that the organizers really went out of their way to showcase a cool, diverse group of nominees.
We discovered a few great shows we'd never heard of and just a huge variety of stories and experience and perspectives. And we're truly honoured to have been included in that. Thanks, Indie Soap Awards!
